I have been running OS/2 on my PC (486SX - 25Mhz) at home for about 8 months.
Until two weeks ago I had OS/2 2.0 which had a LOT of little
annoying bugs. I just upgraded to 2.1 and things or sooo much better.
I have had no problem getting applications to run on it. Although,
I haven't installed any "powerful" applications like Labview or
Matlab because I don't have a math coprocessor (big mistake not getting
a one). I do know that I could fake Windows 3.1 out by using a
coprocessor emulator but, I can't fake OS/2 out (not yet anyway).

All in all, I have been pretty happy with OS/2 2.1 and I LOVE
not having all those memory problems that the Windows 3.1 machines at work have.
Also, true multitasking is great. Another nice feature is that when a
windows or dos application does crach I just close that window instead of
rebooting the machine.
