Howdy everybody,
This is a followup of my post last week concerning Labview memory usage and problems with LVRT. Thanks to everyone who responded so quickly; I got responses from this list faster than I got called back by National Tech support..
For Windows users, default preference settings for 2.5.2 are kept in WIN.INI. The Release Notes, not the manuals, contains the available parameters. Tom Wilson (wilson@fedc06.fed.ornl.gov) gave me the following instructions:
> Open the WIN.INI file and check to see if there is a section [LabVIEW] in
> it. If not, create one and make it exactly as follows (you may experiment
> with the numbers):
> [LabVIEW]
> totalMemSize = 8000000
> dataMemSize = 2000000
> Note that there is a space on each side of the "=" sign. I found that my

This solved many of my frustrating problems I was having.
For my LVRT problem, NI tech support helped me out. In order to use DAQ with LVRT 2.5.:
1. Use "Save with options" to save entire VI hierarchy into 1 new llb library.
2. Copy flatten.lsb, daqcptrs.lsb, and daclptrs.lsb from your \labview\vi.lib\daq directory to your \lvrt directory.
3. Copy \labview\daqdrv to your lvrt directory.
4. Modify your WIN.INI file to include under the [LabVIEW] heading:
viSearchPath=c:\lvrt\*
This solved all of my problems with Run Time.
