Subject: WRONG SUBJECT LINE -- I apologize . Should have been "2 VIs access
1 DAQ card?"

Subject: RE: [Mac]Bug in serial reading binary data
Hi,,
I have a PCI-6229 with 32 AI I want 2 VIs to run simultaneously, each collecting AI on
separate lines. One on AI0-AI15, the other on AI16-AI31
I get error -50103 that says that with DAQ assistant this is not possible (as I have learned with error -50103).
Also, http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/485201B647950BF886257537006CEB89
says "It is not possible to have multiple DAQmx tasks attempting to access the same physical device."
Please clear up this for me. Does this mean only DAQ assistant, or only DAQ Express or only
DAQmx? Or does it mean ALL data acq in LabVIEW to the board?
I know there are other ways to do what I want, but I just thought I'd ask.
THX,
JIM

Paul, Scott et al.,
Because I do quite a lot of serial from my Macs I consider myself
lucky that so far I don't seem to be affected by this subtile bug.
However, it could really lead to hard to track down effects with
serial communication and of course it should be reported firmly and
right away. I really hope NI developers in charge will straight it
out soon.
Thank you guys for spotting this bug!
Happy wireworks
